Dawson Forsey is a Newfoundland born, Vancouver-based singer-songwriter making alt-country music with one foot in classic roots songwriting and the other in indie rock. Drawing inspiration from John Prine, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young, Forsey combines jangly guitars, country storytelling and a loose rock-and-roll spirit. His previous EP, Howdy Stranger, introduced a homespun sound largely captured on tape during the pandemic. He is currently preparing the release of his first full-length album, due in spring 2027.
